Delta Airlines welcomes passengers with small pets. So, a passenger can travel with dogs, cats, or household birds on most of its flights within Canada, Puerto Rico, the United States, and the Virgin Islands. An animal that is too large enough to be carried through the cabin or being transported without its owner, is supposed to be shipped as cargo through Delta Cargo. If you have a pet reservation with Delta Airlines and carrying a pet to any domestic destination, you won’t be able to book it until 14 days prior to departure. However, Delta doesn’t guarantee the pets to be shipped on the same flight or flight schedule with its owner. You need to drop it off at a Delta Cargo location at least three hours before departure.
